Hooper House - Marcel Breuer and Herbert Beckhard
Designed jointly between architects Marcel Breuer and Herbert Beckhard, the Hooper House was constructed between 1956 and 1959 on a lakefront property in Baltimore County, Maryland. It is an example of Bauhaus style architecture and exemplifies Breuer’s other designs due to the house’s “bi-nuclear design” (the adult and children areas of the home are made separate, connected by a central courtyard surrounded in large glass windows and stone walls).
